One of my favorite things about Oak Park is how quickly a simple question in a local parent group turns into a whole list of ideas. Recently, a mom asked for “must-do” holiday activities that are friendly for a two-year-old. - When the snow cooperates, the hill at Taylor Park is a gentle, toddler-friendly sledding spot.
- Families also love the hill at Scoville Park in front of the Oak Park Public Library – Main Library . Pair a few slides down the hill with a warm-up visit to the children’s room or a storytime from the library events calendar.
4. “Home for the Holidays” & the Downtown Oak Park cookie walk
- Downtown Oak Park’s Home for the Holidays brings horse-drawn carriage rides, a cocoa walk, and photos with Santa right to Lake & Marion.
